While generally safe, treatments may pose risks like:
Allergies: Some clients may experience allergic reactions to certain products. Our products are all-natural, vegan, gluten-free and biodynamic, but if you have known sensitivities, let us know beforehand.
Discomfort: If pressure is applied too firmly during the treatment, it may cause discomfort. Let your specialist know your preferences.
Scalp Conditions: Pre-existing scalp issues could worsen if not properly assessed. We start every treatment with a consultation to ensure your scalp is ready for care.
Pregnancy: While our products are safe for pregnant or lactating clients, the reclining position used during treatments may not be advisable in late pregnancy. Please consult your healthcare provider before booking.
Radiation Safety: Our premises house the FDA-approved FoLix laser for hair restoration. If you have concerns about being near the device during your treatment, we can schedule your session outside of FoLix client hours.

FoLix Hair Laser Restoration
-
The FoLix hair laser is the first and only FDA-approved, non-invasive solution for hair restoration—clinically proven to increase hair density and volume without the need for surgery or downtime. This cutting-edge fractional laser technology received FDA approval in 2023 after extensive research trials to ensure safety and efficacy.
We offer complimentary 15-minute consultations to assess your hair loss type, estimate the number of treatments needed, and discuss the benefits of this groundbreaking technology.
-
FoLix is designed to help clients at various stages and types of hair loss, including age-related thinning, hormonal changes (postpartum or stress-related), thyroid imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, medications, or conditions like telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, or androgenetic alopecia.
-
FoLix uses non-ablative, fractional laser technology to create microthermal treatment zones beneath the skin’s surface. This stimulates increased blood flow, triggers an immune response, and encourages the hair follicles to restart their growth cycle. The laser includes a cooling tip for enhanced comfort during treatment.
-
Each treatment is 30 minutes long, with most clients needing 3–6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. During the session, you may feel mild warmth or prickling, especially in sensitive areas like the temples. Temporary shedding may occur after your appointment as the hair follicle completes its growth cycle. After completing your initial series, we recommend 2–3 maintenance treatments per year to sustain results and keep stimulating hair growth.
-
After your treatment, we will apply SPF to protect your scalp, and we strongly recommend continuing to use SPF daily on any areas exposed to the sun. To preserve and enhance results, stick to high-quality hair and scalp products tailored to your needs. Avoid washing your hair with hot water for the first 24 hours—lukewarm water is best to protect your scalp. Regularly cleanse and exfoliate your scalp to prevent buildup and maintain a healthy environment for hair growth.
-
Hair growth takes time, but you will often notice reduced shedding and the emergence of baby hairs throughout the treatment series. To help track your progress, we will capture before-and-after photos, highlighting visible improvements in hair volume and density. Some clients see noticeable changes after just one session, while others experience significant growth after 3-4 treatments.
-
Yes! Head spa treatments are an excellent complement to FoLix, as they enhance blood circulation and stimulate hair follicles, providing a holistic approach to hair restoration and scalp health. Additionally, methods like microneedling with PRP or hair growth medications can be paired with FoLix for even greater results. However, it's important to note that the clinical results published for FoLix are based solely on the laser treatments.
-
FoLix is not suitable for everyone. It’s contraindicated for individuals with cancer, a history of skin cancer, active infections, or bacterial diseases. Potential risks include redness, swelling, scarring, and pigmentation changes. Consult your provider before beginning treatment.
-
FoLix may be eligible for HSA/FSA use if hair loss is due to a medical condition such as alopecia, hormonal imbalances, chemotherapy side effects, or other diagnosed scalp conditions. Coverage varies, so we recommend consulting with your insurance provider to determine eligibility.
